After 42 months of flawless operation, my computer monitor is taking a break. Its display has gone black, so I am unable to see my photos after a shoot, let alone post them on this blog.
I will have to take care of this situation before I can resume normal operation of this blog, sorry about that… See you soon!
UPDATE:
Although I am still without my monitor, I have come up with a temporary solution that lets me use my iPad as a computer display. It’s hardly ideal but at least I can do some work again, albeit in an inefficient way.
I hope so!!!
Yes me too, first we have the long thanksgiving weekend to get over though, after that I’ll find a shop to have a look at it…
I live in Southern California, but my heart is in Newfoundland! Your blog and pix keep me close to “home”. Hurry back! 🙂
I’ll try to get everything up and running soon, so I can share the blustery fall weather from Newfoundland 🙂
OH NOOOOOO!!!! Can’t wait for new photooooossss!!!!
You know, if it takes too long I can always borrow Marije’s laptop to upload some stuff 🙂
The same thing happened to my hubby’s computer yesterday. He fixed it by removing the power cord, then remove the battery. Let it sit for 2-3 minutes, then press down on the power button for a minute. Put the power cord(plug) back in and reboot your computer. If it works, put the battery back in and you’re set to go. It worked for hubby who got this info from a techie at Microsoft. Good luck.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Thanks Marian, that’s great he got it up and running again. Mine’s not a laptop so there’s no battery to remove or anything, it’s a stand-alone monitor. It’s probably a fuse that needs replacing or something like that but I need to get it to a repair centre to find out. They’ll open up again after thanksgiving so I’ll find out then. Have a great holiday weekend 🙂
