Save for some river inlets, Quidi Vidi Lake has frozen over.

In winter time, bald eagles are common visitors to Quidi Vidi Lake, you can often see them sitting on the ice, and today was no exception:

This eagle was sitting next to a kill, a gull of some kind. When it flew off I got a better look:

Near Rennie’s River inlet, many gulls, ducks and pigeons had gathered:
