Yesterday I walked North Head Trail, today I saw Google has published their Street View coverage of North Head Trail on Google Maps!

This means you can now ‘walk the trail’ on your computer back home: when you’re on Google Maps, just grab the yellow guy (called ‘Pegman’) from the corner and drag him onto the trail:

Once you’re inside one of these ‘Street Views’, click the direction arrows on the ground to ‘walk around’, or drag Pegman around and drop him elsewhere on the blue line:

Take care not to drop Pegman onto one of those blue dots, those are pictures uploaded by the general public with no further Street View functionality.
