November is here; it brings cold wet days, the first snow and ice, and everything else associated with the slow onset of winter. The last few days have been rainy here in Torbay, so I was glad to catch a few rays of sunlight on Signal Hill this morning:

The HMCS Shawinigan was leaving St. John’s when I was at the Queen’s Battery, there were sailors lined up on deck:
