Today, Marije and I drove the Irish Loop hoping to see humpbacks close to shore at St. Vincent’s (like we did last year). We saw none, but the sea and the beach were beautiful nonetheless:

There was a fierce wind blowing, with clouds racing low overhead. After St. Vincent’s we drove east, and it was near Cappahayden that we finally saw our whale. I noted the sighting on my whales page.
