A break in the clouds revealed there is very little sea ice this year:

You can see the ice around La Scie and Twillingate, it’s not much and I believe there is no chance any of it will make it to the east coast, just compare it to last year’s imagery here.
Is this all the seance this winter or is there more to come? ( I hope so)
This is all the sea ice there is, I had a look at it earlier this year when it was coming down, and it’s just not that much this year, similar to 2010 and 2011.
Too bad, because I love the sight of sea ice along the coast…
