When the sun came out yesterday I had some difficulty adjusting my eyes, it was so bright! Apparently it’s quite possible to forget what sunlight looks and feels like, even after just 2 weeks. A quick check of the local weather cams confirmed that the fog was indeed parting so I put on my boots and went for a walk on Red Cliff, where I saw it drift away over the ocean:

With a bright sun behind me and fog below, a faint Brocken spectre appeared:

Today there’s nothing but blue sky above me, so I am headed for the East Coast Trail just as soon as I finish my breakfast!
