As suggested in my previous post, Marije and I went out to see the oil rig in Conception Bay today. Neither of us had ever seen an oil rig, so we were kind of curious about it. Here’s what we found when we were on the beach in St. Philip’s this morning:
Much to our delight, we spotted two Minke Whales feeding in the bay, one of them framed itself beautifully with the Henry Goodrich:
No it’s not a small whale, it’s a huge oil rig. Click on the image for a closer view of the Minke.
