After 2 days of snow, tomorrow looks like an ideal day for a winter hike:

Sunny. Wind west 50 km/h gusting to 70 diminishing to 30 in the afternoon. High minus 9. Cold wind chill minus 26.

I’m mostly optimistic about the sunny part of that forecast, because without sunlight most winter photos just end up looking rather monochromatic.

These photos show my walk on Silver Mine Head Path yesterday and after the sun disappeared everything in sight looked either black, grey or white:
