There hasn’t been an iceberg on the East Coast Trail since June 2009, but due to the unusual nature of this year’s iceberg season there’s a tiny chance we may get to see some bergs around here after all.

You see, the two massive ice islands that slowly drifted from Labrador to Newfoundland have been spawning pieces of ice of all sizes all along the way. Right now, a small number of them can be found just off Bonavista, according to IcebergFinder.com:
