We’ve got a lot of rain coming our way tomorrow, so today I went to check up on the trout in Bowring Park. There’s a good chance that many of the fish that make it over the waterfall today will be washed back downstream when hurricane Maria is done with us.

I didn’t plan on taking pictures this afternoon, I just wanted to check the current water level and the number of fish that were making the leap, but since I had my camera with me I took a quick shot anyway (shown above).

It’s always a challenge to nail the focus of these jumping fish, I didn’t quite succeed this time either. One of these days I’ll make a real effort to get a good photo of one of these brown trout. (Update: have a look at these!)
