Long after the birds have filled their bellies and people have lost all interest, capelin are still rolling on Outer Cove beach. I was just there and the sea is very calm, I had the beach to myself and the capelin were just cruising along the shoreline, rolling onto the beach at their leisure, all of them making it back into the water with each following wave:

It seems like the tables have been turned this year, as at the moment it’s easier to see capelin rolling than to see a decent group of whales close to shore, the total opposite of last year’s situation…
