Six months ago Marije’s contract was extended for half a year, to the end of 2010. This ‘december deadline’ has been creeping closer and closer with every passing day; an uncertain future like that can, and in Marije’s case will, get under your skin in a bad way. That’s why, this weekend, we have a good reason for celebration:

This friday we learned that her contract has been extended for another six months!

There was talk back and forth about this extension for a while now, but experience has told us not to count on anything until there’s a signed contract in hand. This new extension means we can enjoy christmas without worrying about packing up our stuff, it also means we get a chance to see a new winter and spring: let’s hope we get some real snow and icebergs this season.

I'll have the Cold Snowy Winter, with an Iceberg Spring for dessert please.

OK 2011, bring it on!
