Yesterday we had all sorts of weather and wildlife encounters.

Heavy rain, highway moose, heavier rain, atlantic salmon, fleeting sunshine, a beaver with a disappearing act, fast moving clouds, northern gannets, dense fog, fishing eagles, and of course even denser fog. About the only thing we didn’t have was ice and snow, although it probably wasn’t far away.

All of this happened on our way to and at a place known as the ‘Cape of Torments’ in earlier days, nowadays it’s called Cape St. Mary’s:
