I’ve been enjoying quite a few night hikes lately, last night I walked the Cape Spear Path from Maddox Cove to Big Black Head and back. Starting out just before sunset I had clear skies, ideal conditions to see the stars come out, but just before the first show was about to start there was a big crowd of inconsiderate clouds rolling in, obscuring my view of the night sky.

This last shot was taken in the dark on the way back, the red glow in the far right is the light pollution coming off St. John’s.
