Marije works at the Ocean Sciences Centre in Logy Bay, today she picked me up after work to show me an iceberg that had arrived in the bay overnight. It had moved in closer since this morning, and it even moved a lot when we took a short walk near the iceberg:
As you can see it looks a bit different in the second shot, made not much later. This is in part due to the fast movement of this berg, but you can also see it gave birth to a few little pieces of iceberg. This was happening all day long, it’s so warm outside this berg is melting and breaking up as you’re looking at it.
