When Marije got home today we immediately took off to see more icepans and bergy bits, the ice has compacted even more than it had this weekend and it was a gorgeous sight. Back home I tried to find something like it on Google Maps and I stumbled upon a satellite photo of sea ice like we have here now. This map is situated on the north end of Fogo island, so it’s nowhere near us but the ice looks almost the same as it does here:
